|We're 61 years old...and still going strong!
...and getting better each year!!!
For 61 years, seriously, 61, (since 1952) the Washington State
Youth Conservation Camp (also known as the WA State Junior
Sportsmen's Conservation Camp) has been educating the youth
of the Pacific Northwest about the outdoors and how to wisely
enjoy and conserve it for future generations. What a beautiful
place to learn, too...Orcas Island, in the San Juan Islands of
Washington State! Held at the Camp Moran Environmental
Learning Center in Moran State Park, the WSYCC instructs
campers from ages 12 to 16 in areas such as the ones
captioned on the left and on the right. Check out the classes
page for more information, or the photo album for more looks at
the campers and instructors in action. Also, keep an eye on the
"Calendar" page for updated messages from me:
The Boys Director, Lonnie McCann.
