|We're 64 years old...and still going strong!
...and getting better each year!!!
For 64 years, seriously, 64, (since 1952) the Washington State Youth
Conservation Camp (also known as the WA State Junior Sportsmen's
Conservation Camp) has been educating the youth of the Pacific
Northwest about the outdoors and how to wisely enjoy and conserve
it for "future generations." What a beautiful place to learn, too...Orcas
Island, in the San Juan Islands of Washington State! Held at the
Camp Moran Environmental Learning Center in Moran State Park,
the WSYCC instructs campers ages 12 to 16 in many areas of
outdoor activities. Check out the classes page for more information,
or the photo album for more pictures of the campers and instructors
in action. Also, keep an eye on the "Calendar" page for updated
messages from me:
The Boys Director, Lonnie McCann.

|One of the ORIGINAL campers at the Washington
State Junior Sportsmen's Conservation Camp,
William Rice, stopped by camp to say HI and see
how things have changed. It was AWESOME to
Ernest Jenner, another original camper, came back to camp and talked to
the campers about the importance of doing good for others...a message
he learned when he was at camp. What a fantastic guy, and cool to meet
and listen to another original camper!!!
